About the Game

Research Story is a pixel creature collector and farming sim set in a fantasy world. You play as a newly-recruited researcher, tasked to observe and learn the truth behind the sightings of exotic plants and creatures around the region.

• Observe and record: Track, observe, and sample plants, creatures and fish to complete research scrolls.
• Tame and bond: Befriend over 30 types of unique wild creatures to unlock helpful perks and collect rare Shimmer variants.
• In-depth farming: Cultivate crops based on their unique growth conditions, such as distance to water and specific fertilisers.
• Befriend townsfolk: Build friendships with the townsfolk, join seasonal festivals, enjoy cutscenes and go on Hangout Events, marry one of the 10 romanceable candidates.
• Unique Story: Complete main quests and the puzzle caves to find out the reason for the appearance of the flora and fauna around Shimmerbrook.
• Dive deep into the Mines: Explore the different biomes in the Mines, each with its own unique plants and creatures to discover.
• Cook, craft, build, automate: Cook meals to gain buffs, craft and automate with sprinklers, auto-feeders, and more.
